How your details are used
A plain summary while Applyfold is in testing. The full notice follows before launch.
If you apply for a job
- Your answers, CV text and assessment results go to the employer you applied to, and nobody else.
- They are used to consider you for that job. Applyfold ranks applicants on your answers, CV and test results, without your name, email or photo. Before any AI reads what you wrote, ID numbers, contact details, ages and details such as race, gender or religion are removed as far as possible.
- A person at the employer makes every decision to interview, offer or turn you down.
- You can withdraw an application from your account at any time.
- You can download everything held about you, or delete your account, from your profile.
How long details are kept
- Unsuccessful or withdrawn applications: your name, contact details, answers, CV and documents are removed 12 months after the application closes. Long enough to answer a dispute, and no longer.
- If you are hired: 36 months after the hire, the period employment records are kept.
- An account nobody signs in to for 24 months is deleted. We email you 30 days before.
- Copies of the emails we send are cleared after 90 days.
- Files you keep in My documents stay until you remove them or delete your account.
If you hire on Applyfold
- You decide who on your team sees which jobs and candidates.
- Every change to a candidate is recorded in your activity log.
